TabTrade - What It Is
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.
